Introducing an Expert in Alcohol Beverage Law

12 Sep 2017, by Tipton Law in Law Firm News, Uncategorized

The world of law is vast and diverse with numerous specialized areas that require deep expertise. One such area is alcohol beverage law, which encompasses the legal regulations and complexities surrounding the production, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic beverages.  Not only are the laws different in every state, but there are laws that interact (and sometimes conflict) at the Federal level within the TTB.  The Tipton Law Firm is excited to announce renowned Colorado liquor attorney, Cory Tipton, has been asked to teach alcohol beverage law at Metropolitan State University in the Hospitality and Brewing Operations program.  This unique opportunity combines Ms. Tipton’s legal expertise with her affinity for teaching, allowing students to gain invaluable insights into this dynamic and evolving legal domain.

With her extensive legal knowledge and nearly 25 years of practical experience in the field of alcohol beverage law and regulated industries, Ms. Tipton will provide a comprehensive education on the legal intricacies surrounding alcohol regulation, covering various topics such as licensing, compliance, marketing, and the interplay between federal, state, and local laws.

By sharing her expertise with aspiring hospitality and brewing operations students, Ms. Tipton will not only help shape the next generation of professionals in the hospitality arena but also foster a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in alcohol beverage law. The students will benefit from real-world insights, case studies, and practical applications, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate this specialized field.  They will be better business owners, managers and operators after learning the intricacies of alcohol beverage regulation. Ms. Tipton’s connections within the industry and her experience working with alcohol producers, distributors, and regulatory bodies will provide students with a unique perspective of the industry and the laws.  Much of the new class offered at Metro will include guest speakers who will share firsthand accounts of legal challenges faced by businesses and the strategies employed to overcome them.  Ms. Tipton’s invitation to teach at Metro is a testament to the value of specialized legal education and the importance of fostering expertise in niche areas of law.
